Despite this, each figure is depicted as profoundly alone, underscoring the irony of the title and the ambiguous nature of 'social' connections in the digital world. This contrast between the perception of connection and the reality of solitude is a depiction of our culture that's becoming increasingly interconnected yet individualistic.​​​​​​​
